Sara shared this link on our 31 Day Challenge and the title intrigued me. I listened to it in full. So interesting to learn more about King David’s relationships with his own children. How his children responded to his bad behavior is telling.
The truth is God didn’t go easy on David. The consequences for his affair with Bathsheba were both immediate and far reaching. God never gave up on David though and David chose never to give up on God.
No matter how rotten we are or how rotten are kids are, we/they can always chose to “turn around” and follow God.
It would be interesting to read the Talmud or other reliable Jewish commentary to see what the sages made of this….
